AUSTIN, Texas (KAUZ) – Site Selection magazine has named Texas the best business environment in America for the second year in a row.
Several factors influenced this ranking, including a survey of corporate real estate managers and site selectors, investments in workforce infrastructure, and a growth mindset.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott said Texas has a number one competitive advantage for businesses.
“For the second year in a row, Texas once again leads all states in the nation’s top business environment,” said Governor Abbott. “As the world’s eighth largest economy, Texas is the number one destination for companies to come here to succeed and create more good-paying jobs for hard-working Texans. It offers advantages not found in other states: a business-friendly climate with no corporate or personal income taxes, a highly skilled, diverse and growing workforce, easy access to global markets, and a strong infrastructure. A reasonable regulatory environment that enables innovative businesses and entrepreneurs to succeed.”
Mr. Abbott went on to thank Site Selection magazine for this honor.
“We thank Site Selection magazine for once again recognizing Texas as a national leader, and we salute the community economic development professionals in our great state who have worked to keep Texas the economic envy of America. “With the nation’s top business environment and America’s strongest workforce, we will continue to build a bigger and better Texas for everyone,” Governor Abbott said.
