Pflugerville, Texas – Many people in Central Texas will be watching Arlington for the Cotton Bowl on Friday night.
Several sports bars and restaurants held watch parties for Longhorn fans who couldn’t make it to Arlington.
At The Goat in Pflugerville, a sea of burnt orange filled the restaurant’s watch party.

Simianc arrived well before kickoff, along with other die-hard University of Texas at Austin fans.
“I’m really proud to know that we can go to the next level, and I’m happy that everyone can watch and respect our team competing at this national level,” Simianc said. said.
If UT wins the Cotton Bowl, it will secure a spot in the national championship game against Notre Dame.
“I think it’s been a long time since Vince Young,” Lori Simiank said.

The last time UT competed in the national championship was in 2010, but unfortunately the team lost.

There were a few dozen Longhorn fans in Pflugerville, but there were also a few in Ohio.
Travis Carter proudly showed off his Ohio State University sweatshirt amidst the burnt orange crowd.
“I’m brave today because every time I wear my team’s gear, we lose,” Carter said. “That might be good for Texas fans, but I’m here rooting for Ohio State.” spoke. “Someone has to represent them.”
“We lost to our rival, the University of Michigan, so this is our year to make up for it and win it all, but unfortunately we have to beat UT,” Carter said.
No matter who wins, fans say at least they have a crowd to cheer along with.
“You’re always happy when you have family, right?” Lori Samiank said. “So if we win, we build momentum, if we lose, we just build each other up, keep winning, and just yell at the TV as loud as we can.”
