T3 Fitness has expanded to a full-service gym known for its innovative training and a strong community atmosphere.
Temple, Texas – He had a vision when the Isaac “Ike” show began training clients in the parking lot more than a decade ago. It is rooted in resilience, growth and community. Today, as owner and CEO of T3 Fitness, one of the few black-owned gyms in central Texas, Shaw has transformed his vision into a 50,000-square-foot fitness facility dedicated to physical and mental well-being. .
As part of Reots of Resilience, a Black History Month special, Shaw’s Journey presents a testament to patience and leadership in a space where black entrepreneurs are underrepresented.
The show’s fitness journey began with a brief observation. People appeared in traditional gyms, but no results were seen.
“Some people couldn’t afford personal training,” Shaw said. “So I asked myself, “How can I help?”
Starting with small group training sessions, the show’s classes grew rapidly from four to 50 people, and eventually he opened his first facility in 2010. A community atmosphere.
As one of the only black gym owners in the area, Shaw embraces his role as a leader.
“I tell myself I’m the head of fitness in Central Texas,” he said. “I’ve been doing this the longest, but I’m not moving away from leadership.”
During the Covid-19 pandemic, he contacted other local gym owners to collaborate on virtual training and community support.
“I grew up believing that black men are kings. We are supposed to lead. So I will move forward, share knowledge and elevate others,” Shaw says. I did.
Beyond weight and workouts, T3 fitness is the promotion of a sense of belonging.
“We’re building a relationship here,” Shaw said. “I’ve seen people overcome depression from the support they get at this gym. It’s more than fitness – it’s family.”
T3 fitness stands out not only in high energy boot camps but also in its commitment to helping members achieve lasting results.
“All training is different. We’re not here just to push you through the routine. We’re here to see what you really change,” Shaw explained. .
The show knows firsthand the challenges of building a business.
“It’s not easy, so you’d better have a ‘why’,” he advised. “There are sacrifices, sleepless nights, financial hurdles, but if you push through adversity, the reward is worth it.”
Looking at 2025, the show focuses on motivating the community to control their health.
“I want to be a fitness leader in this community. I want to help people regain their energy, their passion, their own and their families,” he said.
T3 originally short for Titan Total Training, but it represents more than just a gym.
“We’re about overall fitness, from bootcamp to one-on-one training to conditioning. We help people transform,” Shaw said.
For those looking for a place to start or restart their fitness journey, the show will extend open invitations.
“We’re not the cheapest, not the most expensive, but we offer the greatest value. If you want a place where energy, passion and outcomes matter, then it’s where T3 fitness exists.”
