The Eagles will hold the full 2025 class at Stoutland University.
On the third day, the Eagles chose an offensive lineman. Using pick No. 207 overall in the sixth round, the Eagles chose Texas offensive tackle Cameron Williams.
Williams is the third offensive lineman chosen by the Eagles on Saturday after interior lineman drew Kendall in the fifth round (No. 168) and tackled Miles Hinton at the beginning of the sixth (191). This is a continuous tackle for birds as well.
21-year-old Williams is a raw outlook with many benefits. He is 6 feet 6, 317 pounds, with nearly 35 inches of arm and 85 inches of wingspan. His hands are also huge at 11 3/8 inches, putting him in the 98th percentile.
Williams is far from a finished product, and has committed a ton of Texas penalties (18 for 16 starts per athletic).
He is the type of Tooth false lead worthy of a late round pick to hand over to veteran offensive line coach Jeff Starland.
And taking Williams with him in the sixth round showed great value. Based on Arif Hasan’s consensus draft committee, Williams was the No. 92 in this class. Both NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein and Athletic’s Dane Brugler graded Williams as a four-round pick.
After becoming a reserve for his first two years in Texas, Williams was a full-time starter with a right tackle in 2024.
Despite his lack of experience, Williams chose to abandon his senior season and enter the draft. It may not have been the best decision as these second day predictions did not pan out.
Here’s what Zierlein wrote about Williams:
“Williams’ desirable blend of physical properties, but his bends and speed make him a more demanding professional projection. The technique will require a year of work to alleviate the aforementioned flaws and allow him to speak his traits more loudly. Consistency of protection should improve with more work, but his ceiling could be an average right tackle.”
