Lauren Allred defeated two ties in six innings with a two-run home run, while Demi Edler cleared two batters to bring Texas Tech to Arizona 5-2 in Tucson on Saturday night. Texas Tech came together to win the final two games and win a 3-game series.

Stewart’s sacrifice fly was second out of three innings and was accompanied by a loaded base. Miranda Stoddard was the next batsman and walked to reload the base. Jenna Sniffen jumped out on a base loaded with all three runners in the chain, leaving Arizona missing the opportunity to take the lead.

Arizona had another opportunity to lead in five innings. Regan Shockey led five innings with singles. Stewart walked two outs. Texas Tech superstar pitcher Nijaly Canady put Miranda Stoddard on the ground to finish the innings. Canadi retired from the side in six and seven innings to secure a Texas Tech victory.
