Why is the measles case rising in the US?
In 2000, measles were declared excluded in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. He was receiving effective measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccines.
According to the CDC, a decline in measles vaccination rates has increased the risk of a major global outbreak of measles. With increasing global measles activity, it is likely that people infected with measles overseas who have not been vaccinated have returned to the US
The CDC also says that MMR vaccination rates for preschoolers in the US are below the 95% target, lower in certain communities, with trends continuing below.
Symptoms of measles
The initial symptoms of measles last for 2-3 days, nonspecific and mild. Here are some things to keep in mind when an unvaccinated child or person feels sick:
The cough is itchy and the watery eyes have high fever white spots (coprik spots) on the inside of the cheek. Red rashes usually occur 3-5 days after the initial symptoms. It appears to be a small raised bump that gushes near the face and hairline, giving it a “spotted red look” and then spreads over the rest of the body.
