Round 3 Tee Time Live Scoring
RICHMOND HIL, Ga. – The second Texas Men’s Golf Team carded a two-round total of one over par 561 (281-280) on Monday, leading just five strokes after Ford College’s opening day at Ford Field and River Club. Freshmen Daniel Bennett (72-68) and junior Tommy Morrison (67-73) both fire even-numbered par-140 36-hole scores, tied ninth in individual standings that entered Tuesday’s final round.
In the Monday morning round, Texas counted scores from Bennett in their second round on Monday afternoon, counting scores for Morrison (3-under 67), Junior Christian Mars (1-over 71), sophomore Jack Gilbert (1-over 71), and Bennett (2-over 72). Maas (ver-par 70) and Morrison (3over 73) card equal 280.
No. 1 Auburn holds a 3-stroke lead in the team’s standings with a 4-under 556 (276-280) and No. 7LSU is second in 1 under 559 (276-283). The Longhorns are third in a one-over 561 (281-280) and five strokes from the lead, while South Carolina No. 20 is fourth in a four-over 564 (288-276). The 12 team field features the top 10 and five (April 9) of the top 25 top scoreboards on the latest scoreboard with Clippd Poll (April 9).
Auburn’s Jackson Kovrun (69-67) and South Carolina’s Frankie Harris (72-64) share individual leads after their first 36 holes at 4-under 136. LSU’s Argot Clean came in third with a 3-under 137 (71-66).
Ford University is scheduled to close on Tuesday, April 15th at 18 holes. Texas paired with Auburn and LSU in the final round on Tuesday, with the Tee Times beginning at 7:48am (Eastern) from the first tee and 7:48am (Eastern).
Lineup
Freshman Daniel Bennett fired a total of 140 (72-68) on Monday, tied for ninth in individual positions. In the afternoon round, Bennett posted four birdies (holes 3, 6, 7, 16) against four bogeys, finishing at 2 under 68. In the morning round, after a double bogey in hole 2, he opened four holes and got two overs. Morrison closed the 3-under 67 and made a birdie with holes 5, 6, 11, 12, 16. In the afternoon round, Mars recorded three birdies (holes 3, 9, 16) against three bogeys and registered an even par 70. In the afternoon round, Potter posted five birdies (holes 3, 5, 6, 10, 16) against four bogeys, scoring a 1-under 69. He registered birdies (holes 3 and 16) against three bogeys during one over 71 of the morning round.
