The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, San Angelo Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the 800 block of U.S. Highway 87 South at approximately 7:00 PM on July 14, 2024, for a report of a gunshot victim. According to the Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center.
Witnesses reported seeing a Hispanic female and a black male fleeing north into a wooded area. A perimeter was established and a ground search was initiated with assistance from the San Angelo Police Department’s K9 and drone units, and the Texas Department of Public Safety’s ground and air units. Despite a nine-hour search, the suspects were not found.
During the search, clothing matching the suspect’s last known attire was found, so authorities are unable to determine the current description of his clothing. The suspects, whose identities remain unknown, were last seen in the 1300 block of Lone Star Lane. The Hispanic woman is described as approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall with a slender build, and the black man is of slender build and unknown height. The two may have been traveling together or separately.
The Tom Green County Sheriff’s Office is urging the public to remain vigilant and to call 911 if they observe any suspicious activity. The suspect is believed to be armed and dangerous. The suspect has been identified as Gloria Jaramillo.
