AURORA, Colo. — Two men believed to have ties to the Venezuelan gang Torren de Aragua (TdA) have been arrested in Aurora, Texas, in connection with a murder investigation in the Dallas area, police announced this week.
Carlos Ruiz Zambrano Bolivar, 25, and Jonata Nahin Toro Gonzalez, 22, were arrested during the Aug. 24 attack on Nirzurt Arnaud Petit at Farmers Branch, Texas, according to Farmers Branch. He was charged with capital murder and two counts of aggravated kidnapping in connection with the killing. Police station.
Bolivar and Gonzalez were in U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody when Farmers Branch detectives traveled to Aurora on Sept. 24 to interview two suspects in Petit’s murder, the agency said. announced in a news release.
The third suspect, Ejicar Alexander Morales Mendoza, 38, was taken into custody on October 11 in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Police are searching for a fourth suspect, Johnny Jesus Martinez Serrano, 29.
Police said the victim’s body was found on the road in the early morning hours of August 24 and died from a single gunshot wound to the head.
Investigators said the four suspects and the victim were involved in a “complex ATM theft operation targeting several locations across the country.”
Police said Petit was forcibly taken from a Dallas-area apartment complex on August 24 and killed after other suspects accused him of withholding some of the money stolen from an ATM. Announced.
