The Mavericks and entire North Texas community are invited to recognize and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at The University of Texas at Arlington, as UTA students and campus groups are hosting a series of events celebrating Hispanic history, culture and influence in the United States.
“The lesson everyone can learn from Hispanic Heritage Month is that we can celebrate our culture all year round, even if it’s just for a month,” said David Reynoso, a doctoral student in aerospace engineering. “Hispanic Heritage Month inspires me to put my whole self into everything I do and leave nothing of my identity behind.”
The University kicked off its Hispanic Heritage Month celebration with a Hispanic Heritage Month Kickoff Event in the Bluebonnet Ballroom on Monday, Sept. 16. Mavericks enjoyed a ton of fun, fun and community, including music by UTA’s Mariachi Los Jinetes.
