COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 24 ranked University of Missouri volleyball team (20-8, 11-5 SEC) has earned an at-large bid to the 2024 NCAA Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship, the NCAA Committee announced Sunday. did.
The Tigers, who earned the No. 7 seed, will face Texas State University (22-8, 13-3 Sun Belt) in the first round of the NCAA Dallas Region hosted by SMU on Thursday, Dec. 5. First serve is scheduled for 4 p.m. in Connecticut at Moody Coliseum in Dallas, Texas. The game will be broadcast on ESPN+.
Second-seeded SMU (24-7, 16-4 ACC) will play Wichita State (18-13, 10-6 American) in another first-round game at Connecticut Thursday at 7 p.m. to play against. The winner of SMU and Wichita State, along with the winner of Mizzou State and Texas State, will advance to the second round at Connecticut State Friday at 7 p.m.

The University of Missouri will be making the NCAA Tournament for the 19th time in program history and for the second consecutive year.
The Tigers qualified for the 2023 NCAA Lincoln Regional Tournament in head coach Dawn Sullivan’s first season at the University of Missouri. Mizzou defeated Delaware State (3-0) in the first round, but lost to No. 1 overall seed and top-ranked Nebraska in the second round.
Mizzou is 18-18 in program history in the NCAA Tournament and has advanced to the second round in eight consecutive tournament appearances dating back to 2013.
Mizzou is 2-0 all-time against Texas State. The last time these teams met was in 2009 (August 28) in Columbia, Missouri, with the Tigers winning 3-0.
MU’s 2024 roster features five Lone Star State student-athletes, including 2024 All-SEC setter Marina Crownover (Austin, Texas) and outside hitter Janet Demaret (Colleyville, Texas). Masu. Four teams at each venue will compete in a single-elimination regional semifinal tournament.
Regional winners will advance to the national semifinals and championship finals, hosted by the University of Louisville in conjunction with the Louisville Sports Commission, on Dec. 19 and 22 at KFC Yum! Heart of Louisville. The national semifinal game will be broadcast on ESPN at 5:30 p.m. CT, and the championship game will be broadcast on ABC at 2 p.m. CT.
