The Texas A&M Aggies remain busy in the transfer portal as the offseason gets into full swing.
According to a report from On3’s Pete Nacos, the Aggies have signed transfer cornerback Jordan Shaw from the Washington Huskies. He started his collegiate career at Indiana University in 2023, and next season will be his third college to play in three years.
Shaw currently has defensive lineman Tyler Onyedim (Iowa State), tight ends Nate Borkercher (Nebraska) and Micah Riley (Auburn), receivers Micah Hudson (Texas Tech), K.C.・Con Sepcion (North Carolina State), as well as Mario Klaver (Mississippi State), quarterback Jacob Zeno (UAB), edge rushers TJ Searcy (Florida), Dayon Hayes (Colorado) and Sam Pemba (Georgia).
Shaw, lives in Downey, California. The native was originally a three-star recruit in the 2023 class before committing to Indiana. In his first season with the Hoosiers, he appeared in four games and started two, totaling 12 tackles (eight solo) and a pass breakup.
Shaw then joined the Huskies, starting all 12 regular season games and appearing in eight games for last season’s runner-up team. During his only season with Washington, he recorded 37 total tackles (21 solo) and six pass breakups. He also played in the Sun Bowl loss to the Louisville Cardinals, recording two total tackles in a thrilling 35-34 game.
The Aggies probably won’t end up in the portal this offseason. Texas A&M will enter its second full season under head coach Mike Elko with a new roster full of interesting newcomers.
