Andrews County, Texas – A woman faces numerous charges after leading law enforcement in a high-speed pursuit from Andrews County in West Texas to Lee County in New Mexico on Monday night.
The Andrews County Sheriff’s Office said he received a call Monday around 5pm regarding a stolen Ford F-250 that was heading north on the US 385 five miles south of Andrews.
Deputies attempted to deploy the vehicle on Andrews’ West 176 State Highway 176 and begin a traffic stop, but the driver refused to hand it over.
Officials say lawmakers found the suspect stolen on Andrews’ State Highway 176. ACSO began a traffic stop, but the driver did not comply.
The driver then took law enforcement, crossing the state line to reach 90 mph, reaching New Mexico.
The Andrews Police Department and the Andrews County Fire Department were reportedly aided in their pursuit.
The driver eventually turned north onto New Mexico State Highway 18 and passed through a tire deflation device deployed to stop the vehicle.
About a mile south of Hobbs, the driver collided with a parked car on the east side of the highway, according to the Andrews County Sheriff’s Office.
Driver Jasmine Jaramiro, 27, was arrested at the scene.
Jaramiro is being charged with misuse of a motor vehicle, avoiding arrest in a motor vehicle and reckless driving in Texas, officials say.
Jaramiro fees are pending in New Mexico.
The driver and suspect of the parked vehicle were taken to a local hospital due to unspecified injuries.
Jaramiro is in custody at the Lee County Detention Center in New Mexico.
