Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas offers a variety of complimentary services to help Deep East Texas businesses grow and individuals return to the workplace or on a path to a sustainable career.
Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas’ six centers are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Specialists can help with job readiness, resume support, job searches, skills training, paid work experience, in-person and virtual workshops, support services, and more.

A variety of hiring events and job fairs are held in the 12-county region, and Workforce Solutions provides support for registering, preparing, and participating in events at all six workforce centers.
Locally, Gary Job Corps will be holding a hiring event today (Thursday) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Workforce Solutions Deep East Texas – Polk County Center.

The Workforce Center also offers a number of free, one-hour in-person workshops. Two interview workshops are scheduled at the Polk County Workforce Center to help participants prepare for interviews and practice answering and asking difficult questions. One on December 20th at 2pm and the other on December 27th at 2pm.
A one-hour workshop to address communication, specifically barrier removal, nonverbal communication and listening skills, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Dec. 13 at the Polk County Workforce Center.
We also have some new 1-hour workshops available online. “Breaking Barriers” workshops are scheduled for Dec. 17 and Dec. 24 at 10 a.m.
